Hi. I’m Erin

Licensed Therapist. Matrescence Educator. Professional Myth-Buster.

Hi, I’m Erin Schlozman—and no, I didn’t consider how confusing the last name was until after I changed it from Levin to Schlozman.

I’m a licensed therapist, maternal mental health educator, and the author of the upcoming book The Myth of the Perfect Mom: From Everyday Perfection to Postpartum Joy.

I’ve spent over a decade helping moms untangle themselves from the guilt, overwhelm, and pressure of doing it all—and doing it perfectly.

Spoiler: You were never meant to do this alone.
Also, no one ever handed out medals for breastfeeding in a closet at work while answering Slack messages. (I checked.)

Real Good Mom was born out of my own experience as a new mom—with a master’s degree in counseling, a specialty in postpartum mental health, and yet somehow still Googling “is it normal to cry in the Target parking lot?”

Here’s what I know:
You’re not failing or messing up your kids.
You’re not too much or not enough.
You’re 100% don’t have to mother alone.
You’re just living in a world that makes it really overwhelming to be a mom and a human at the same time.

That’s why I created this space—to be the village you were promised, the therapist in your earbuds, and the voice reminding you that you’re allowed to feel what you feel and ask for what you need.

I’m so glad you’re here. xo, Erin

Most days I look somewhere between this one, and that one.
